This year’s MGroup Dream Team for the Oxford Vitality Half Marathon run consists of ex Oxford United footballer Steve Basham, Alice Hillier, George Tattersall and John-Paul Cleaver. They will be running in order to raise funds for SeeSaw, a charity set up to help bereaved children in Oxfordshire. The race will be on Sunday 11th October 2015, starting at 10am at St Gilesin the city centre. The 13.1 mile race follows a route taking in the Radcliffe Camera, Sheldonian Theatre, Bodleian Library, University Parks, many of Oxford University’s colleges and other beauty spots.
Although all competitor places have been quickly snapped up, if you would like to take part you can come and cheer the competitors along. Steve is hoping to beat his last years time of 1 hour 36 minutes. Better still, you could help us raise money for SeeSaw by sponsoring our runners (see the links below). The MGroup are staunch supporters of SeeSaw. Described as the great little charity with the big heart, SeeSaw depends on the generosity of individuals and organisations to support their services. One third of bereaved children can experience severe difficulties coming to terms with the death of a close family member. SeeSaw supports children at this critical time, so that they can move forward and face the future with hope. SeeSaw’s service includes tailored grief support for children, guidance and support to families, advice and training to professionals and accessible literature and resources.
